So I don't think Mother Nature got the memo that it's October. Another day of 80's. It's hard to complain too much when it's sunny and nice, but I'm getting ready to pack away the tank tops and flip flops. We've had our share of (too) hot days, but we have had some nice fall days (and even chilly mornings) to enjoy the past couple weeks.
We took a Saturday morning to head to the zoo as a family.
We go to the zoo often, but the girls and I usually meet friends there during the week so it was a treat to have Daddy with us! We are spoiled to have a membership which means we
have get to ride the train every visit!
We had a nice cool morning to do some apple picking at Eckerts.
Ada wasn't sure what was going on at first, but she quickly figured it out... pick an apple take two bites, drop it, and repeat!
Ruby figured out how to eat and pick simultaneously!
They have a petting zoo and rides that can't be passed up.
Poor second child only gets to play in the sandbox.
We realized after the fact that Ada was probably plenty tall enough for the rides, but she didn't really seem to mind. Happy enough to play in the sign!
Lunch consisted of apples, apple cider, and kettle corn! Oh, an apple pie when we got home- yum!
The neighbor's cat, Thor, visits us often. Not sure who enjoys the attention more; Ruby, Ada, or the cat!
Ada has fun playing with her buddy Harper every other Friday when Ruby is at school.
Looking forward to more fall-like days and fun!
Two little cutie patooties! Fall is just the best time of the year. Love those family pics. Family is what it is all about! Love you guys.
