We've been to a couple different pumpkin patches over the years in and around St. Louis and decided to try a new one this year. I guess it's hard to get away from the commercialization when the "farm" is in the city. This year's place was no different (there was an outlet mall on the other side of the field), but the girls had fun anyway. We met our friends, the Towls, there early Saturday morning. It was COLD! Windy and 45 degrees is really chilly for us "southerners"!
There were pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere!
We came home with a couple pumpkins and funnel cake so that's a success!
We had a neighborhood block party to carve pumpkins on Saturday. (Sadly no pictures.) Lots of fun and lots of yummy pie! Steve and I did most of the carving, the girls were too busy running around and had little interest in touching the guts. Ada just said, "Ewwww!" WE're enjoying our pumpkin seeds and anxious for Halloween. For the record, Ruby still hasn't decided what she's going to be for her party at school on Wednesday or trick-or-treating night...
Have fun on Halloween! Love the 2 little pumpkins in the pumpkin patch named Ruby and Ada!
