Monday was our sixth day and we were back at Magic Kingdom. It was a little sad knowing it was our last day at the parks, but we made the most of it for sure! We got there at rope drop again and this time went straight to the castle to see the Fairy Godmother use her bippity-boppity-boo magic to open the gates. I loved this probably more than I should. Disney makes every single moment so magical! Like many others, we dashed to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train first thing. We loved this ride the first day and wanted to try again before the line got long. We were one of the firsts and walked right on since we weren't dealing with a stroller. There were SO many strollers in Disney. And we were SO thankful we didn't have one. I've heard people recommend getting them, even for kids who have "outgrown" strollers so that they don't have to walk and can rest. To each his own, but for us, going at an age where our girls were fairly independent was so much more enjoyable for all of us. Like I said, everything was still incredibly magical, they were big enough and eager enough to do almost every ride, yet still loved the littlest rides, and thought the characters were great. If someone asked my opinion, I'd say wait until your kids can do all of the walking and you don't have to worry about a stroller. I was a bit concerned about all of the walking we were going to do, thinking the girls were going to whine about it or get burned out. We even started going for evening walks as a family (we couldn't tell them why) to try to get everyone in shape and everyone got Chacos for Easter to prepare. I'm not sure how we managed looking back, but I can honestly say, no one ever complained about walking. I guess they were just so excited about everything we did. No one got cranky or even overstimulated. If you know my kids at all you now this is out of character for them. Easy going is not a term I'd ever use to describe them (or their parents). We set our expectations low, and Ruby and Ada greatly surpassed them. It was quite honestly a Disney miracle.
Hands up!
After the Mine Train, we started checking off all of the other rides we hadn't got to our first day. We rode Winnie the Pooh, watched Mickey's Philharmagic, rode the Jungle Cruise, had more treats, rode Aladdin's Magic Carpets, drove race cars at the Speedway, went to the Hall of Presidents, watched the show at the castle, and met Tiana. We let Ruby and Ada "drive" the race cars at the speedway. The kids can steer while the adults push the pedals. Ada put her foot on top of mine and pressed down as hard as she could. "See I can drive!" We are in so much trouble with that one! Ada and I rode the teacups while Ruby and Steve took the People Mover.

We used our last FP for Big Thunder Mountain again and decided to end our day with Splash Mountain. This was definitely the longest line we waited in. They kept making announcements apologizing for the wait. I'm not sure what happened but it seemed like they had booked way too many people for FP at the time. When we came out the FP line was longer than almost every other line we waited in all week. The wait was worth it! Ada has NO fear. Except the dark! On our way out of the park, we used some snack credits to grab another (!) ice cream treat. Similar to the dole whip, we got some sort of orange dreamsicle floats which were wonderful. Another example of how my kids are so different: Ruby kept saying "This is way too big! We can't each have our own!" while Ada pipes up, "I'll eat Ruby's too if she doesn't finish it."

Check out cool-as-a-cucumber Ada!
One last treat at Magic Kingdom! Thanks for the sweet vacation Disney!
We went back to our room for showers and a changed clothes for our last character dinner, which turned out to be the best! This one was at Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge which was beautiful. The restaurant was decorated with trees and twinkle lights on the ceiling that would change colors depending on which character was making an entrance. We had a flight of shared appetizers presented on an adorable tree platter and the girls each got a tray of fruits, veggies, cheese and "make your own butter". I had a yummy poison apple drink and the girls ordered transformation potion. They each got a glass of what looked ike lemonade with a blue sugar stick and a small glass of blue potion. When they poured in the potion the whole drink turned purple! Snow White, Dopey and Grumpy came around while we ate our prime rib and chicken breast (which Ruby devoured). After dinner we had a flight of desserts including Dopey's mining treasure pudding with jewels, poison apples, and mini gooseberry pies. Our waitress also brought out a smoking box of the hunter's gift to the queen; carmel corn and dark chocolate hearts! After dinner we made our way over to visit the queen. Ada told her she was beautiful and the queen replied, "I am. Did you choose that dress yourself?" "Yes." "Maybe next time you could pick something a little more royale."
