Having Fun Isn't Hard...

Ruby finished school the week before Memorial Day (and Auntie Sam's wedding).  Now that all of us girls are home full time we don't have a lot planned for the summer but we did sign up for the summer reading program at the library.  This is the first year Ruby is old enough to participate and she also got her very own library card!
From Spring 2014
Reading is still one of Ruby's most favorite things to do.  (In case the reading teacher in me looks back someday; she's currently reading at a level B.)  She loves when someone reads her picture books, fiction, nonfiction, and even chapter books.  We've read Charlotte's Web, My Father's Dragon trilogy, and are in the middle of Stuart Little.  Ada enjoys going to the library too and you can often find her "reading books" in her bedroom.  This basically means she takes a book off the shelf, pages through it, drops it on the floor and then repeats this about 48 more times!

As Auntie Sam would say: Having fun isn't hard when you have a library card!

  2. I think Auntie Sam may have borrowed that phrase from Arthur. I'm proud of you too, Ruby! Such a big girl you are getting to be. Sounds like Ada is going to be a great reader too. Hugs & Kisses!
