I got a text one evening last week from Sam saying she was going to be going through STL the next day! She is currently doing a year(ish) of Americorp work with FEMA. She's had quite the experience traveling all over the country and she's only halfway through her service. Her team found out that they would be leaving Oklahoma City for New York and staying one night in St. Louis on their way. I didn't tell the girls she was coming because I wasn't sure what time she'd get here and if they'd even get a chance to see her. We found out they were due to arrive late evening and she was able to stay the night with us! After dinner we quickly put the girls in the tub and dressed them in their jammies. We told Ruby we had a Top Secret Adventure to go on as we buckled them into the car. Ruby asked about 385,026 questions on the way to their hotel but I only told her we were going to pick up a special visiter.

Ada went right to her! Which is actually quite notable, because Ada is usually attached to Mom these days.
It was only about a 12 hour visit, but the girls got some snuggles and bedtime stories, and we got to visit a bit.
Sam said she's used to waking up and not knowing where she is, but when she woke up at our house she knew where she was but couldn't figure out why she was here! Her team made it to Long Island (otherwise known as Lon Gisland) late last week and we miss her already, but Top Secret Super Surprise Visitors are really fun!
