I love summer and really always have. (I don't love STL humidity though.) Growing up in Wisconsin it was really the only season I wasn't cold (I'm always cold). As a teacher it was so nice to have a long break to relax and gear up for the next school year. I didn't think summer would feel much different than the rest of the year now that I'm staying home full time, but it's been great!
Playing in the sprinkler with our friends Hayden and Harper.
Visits to the cool library on hot days.
Playing at he park with Ruby's best friend Kaitlyn.
Morning runs to the park.
Splashing in rain. This was July 1st. We are wearing coats. In St. Louis. Cah-ray-to-the-z.
Playdate at the Contemporary Art Museum. We met Kat, Vera, and Lily there and also ran into a bunch of other friends. The big girls made cool kites.
Ruby is constantly asking to go to a "new park" so we stopped at the Early Childhood Center on our way to get groceries last week. They got a big grant and built an amazing playground. Lots of green space and natural materials.
And these adorable little houses.
Hoping we can go again sometime when they're unlocked so we can play inside them.
I guess this is... creative?!
Spending time outside in the evenings before bed.
She looks exhausted!
Ada Bear in the library and Roo in the playhouse, so cute! I love the puddle splashing video too.
