We signed Ruby up for one session of "Camp" at her preschool this summer. I picked the last session mainly because it was in July so that it would break up the summer and so it wouldn't be such a long stretch in between last school year and next. As luck would have it, the theme of the last session was "Art".
This ended up being absolutely perfect for R. I was a bit nervous about how it was going to go since she'd be in a different classroom with different teachers and some different kids, but I didn't need to worry. Several of her friends from last school year were in her class and she did great. In the afternoons and evenings she kept telling us how much she loved camp! Ruby had SO much fun doing all of the cool art projects and crafts and loved the time spent playing outside in the water too. They made mobiles, sand art, rubber band paintings, tie dye shirts, clay pots and many other creations that are currently on display in our home!
The kids wore their swimming suits under their clothes each morning and spent a lot of time outside. Sprinklers, hoses, a mini car wash, several water tables, a baby bathtub, and lots more fun.
Ruby even got to bring the "treat cooler" one day, and filled it with popsicles, of course!
Ruby was sad when camp ended after two fun weeks. She'll definitely be ready for school to start again in the fall!
Ada had some nice nap time and mommy time when Ruby was at camp.
Mostly Ada said, "Ruby, Ruby, Ruby" all morning until it was time to go back and pick her up. She's going to miss her sissy three mornings a week this fall!
Cool cat shirt, Ruby!
