Ruby took swimming lessons again this summer. She had lessons two mornings a week for the month of July. Ada spent the hour in the childcare center of the attached fitness center a few days (she wasn't a fan), stayed home with Daddy a few days, and played with her friend Harper while my friend Cathy watched her a few of the days.
The first few lessons were chilly, but it quickly warmed up and so did Ruby! It was a Mommy & Me class again which worked out well for her and I think she'll be ready for the "big kid lessons in the big pool" next summer. We had two teachers who were really good at identifying Ruby's individual abilities and pushing her to do more. Ruby's biggest accomplishment was
willingly putting her head under water. She's still hesitant about it, but she did dive under a hula hoop several times. Overall she's much more confident in the water- success!
She has your exact same smile! I miss you guys!
