It's been (St. Louis) cold and we had ANOTHER wave of sickness roll through the Nelson house, so we've spent lots of time at home lately. But no fear, we're staying busy with lots of new Christmas toys and the boxes too!
The girls have even tried out one of Daddy's presents!
Ruby has recently taken an interest in playing with her baby dolls. I think it is probably largely due to the fact that she got a new baby bed for Christmas.
Baby Stella goes wherever Ru goes. ("She can't stay in the car! She'll cry and cry!") Ruby's a good momma; putting Stella down for naps, reading to her, pottying her, and even nursing her!! This pretend play got a bit too real for me one afternoon during rest time. I went into Ruby's room to find her hands covered with something white. As I quickly scanned the room trying to figure out what it was I saw this.
Ruby explained that she was changing the baby's diaper and "she needed cream on her booty". Apparently she needed cream on the changing pad too. And the dresser. The floor. The wall. Baby's clothes. Ruby's clothes. Ruby's hair.
This is one of those things I'll look back at and laugh. Right?
