Warm Ice Carnival

We went to the Ice Carnival in the Loop a couple weeks ago.
From Winter 2012
It's become a yearly tradition and fun to see it grow and evolve every year.  I'm pretty sure it was in the 50's this year, but we put the girls in their snow pants anyway because I knew they'd get wet on the slides!

We've had our share of cold-stay-inside days, but lots of these warm winter days as well.  We try to get outside as much as possible.  There's a park nearby in Clayton that has a nice rubber ground cover so we can run around even when it's wet and muddy.

Ada can climb right up on this teeter-totter by herself to bounce with Ruby!  It's so amusing to see her run around this playground just like she's one of the big kids.  She rarely looks back to see if I'm following her and she'll try anything the other kids are doing.

We ran into Ruby's friend from school, Kaitlyn, enjoying the sunshine too.

Sidenote: I know you're probably thinking, why doesn't that lady do something with that girl's hair, it's always in her face.  At least that's what I'm thinking when I see these pics!  Trust me, I TRY!  As you can tell from the rest of her outfit, Ruby has her own (strong) ideas about style.
