I guess I better get some new posts up here on the blog or people are going to think I've got horrible morning sickness again. No, I'm not preggo, (Have you seen my house? There's barely room for the 4 of us!) but we have been rather sick lately. That is only a small part of the reason I haven't been blogging. The truth is every time I open our website I see Monte, or "Mow" as Ada calls him, and I don't want him to go away. Insert sad face here.
On we must go. The queue of posts I've half written have to be published sometime. So in order to catch up this is going to be a smorgasbord...
The plague has taken over our house this winter. Before taking Ada in to the clinic again last week I asked Steve, "What day did she get sick?" His reply? "September." Yeah, too bad that wasn't an exaggeration. She is finishing up another antibiotic and has already come down with a stomach virus as well. While the four of us passed around one virus or another we've missed lots of church, meetings, school, and playdates. I'm so thankful that I'm staying home with my girls so that I really can stay home with my girls when we're not feeling up to leaving the house.
When this happens at 10am you know something's wrong.
Lots of jammy days lately.
But most days we manage to "get dressed".
(Okay, so ignore the lady sprawled on the couch in her robe.)
Trying on
hip waddersmom's new boots.
Music, cat costume, princess dress over pj's= just your average day in the Nelson house!
And other days we don't get dressed at all...
Check out that physique!
Why yes, we do like to run around partially clothed.
Why is it that toddlers love to be naked?
Ada's usually pretty content staying home. One of her favorite activities is to sit in a box, bin, tub, cake pan. If you can get in, she'll sit in it!
Ruby likes to do crafts, and even taught Ada how to color.
So proud of herself.
But sometimes, Ruby (and Momma) get a bit stir crazy when we're stuck inside for too long. Once in awhile we just have to get out, cold or not, germy or not.
"Mom, take a picture of me."
She's definitely related to her Gaga and Auntie Sam!
Sick or healthy, I love these three!
Love the hair brushing train :)
ReplyDeleteYep - agree with Jen, hair brushing pic is awesome!! Also love the girl's dress-up costumes. And Ada's funny faces. And my little tree hugger..... Love you all so much! Thanks for the great blog. Oh, and I hope everyone feels well VERY SOON!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update! We always look forward to hearing and seeing the goings on in U City. Hope everyone is on the mend and healthy for a long stretch. Brushing train was cool!
