Hehe! I had so much fun with these pics and posts, I thought I'd keep them going for now.
Ada is such a little person now with a big personality. She likes to get a reaction and LOVES to get a laugh. Total goofball. Snuggle bear. Go-with-the-flow girl (with a feisty streak).
Our dinner routine nightly consists of Ruby urging Ada to make funny faces. Sure makes for lots of laughs and smiles in the Nelson house!
Ada has taken an interest in books, especially those with animals. If you hear her yelling "mow" (rhymes with now) over and over, she's likely reading a book about cats! She likes any and all toys Ruby plays with. Dolls and stuffed animals (aka: "babies") are her favorite.
Like Ruby, Ada is a snack-a-holic. She is constantly at the cupboard yelling "nack, nack".
Both girls also have the habit of carrying around an armload of "stuff". Ruby has numerous animals, blankies, and lovies she totes with her. Ada needs her "bubby" (pacifier), lovie (blanket), and a baby!
Speaking of Ruby, Ada adores her big sister. She takes any attention she can get and tries to mimic her every move. It can be hard to be a big sister when the little one is constantly trying to play with your things and be right by you. Ruby is quite, ahem,
assertive when Ada does something she doesn't like. Ruby is starting to learn, however, that Ada's smart enough to fight back when she doesn't play nice. (Read: Ada will bite. Ouch)
At her 15 month check-up, Dr Plax thought Ada was such a funny and social girl. She weighed 21lbs12oz (60%) and was 32 1/2 in long (98%). We've definitely noticed she's getting longer and leaner. Dr. Plax was impressed with Ada's verbal skills. It seems like she says new words every day. "more" "milk" "uh-oh" "ball" "book" "nigh-nigh" "pitty" (pretty) "baa" (what does a sheep say?) and "melmo" (elmo) are some of the newer ones. She's started saying "milk" like Ruby did with the /k/ sound as an afterthought!
Kidz!
