One morning last week we took a field trip and met Kat and Vera at the Butterfly House.
I kinda forgot that the butterflies live in a tropical climate so we didn't really escape the heat, but it was a much-needed escape from the house.
Ada had a great time. She kept reaching out at the butterflies as they went by.
But she couldn't catch any!

Ruby was a little freaked out about the butterflies fluttering around her (same as last year when we went there) so we didn't stay in there very long,
but we did enjoy the other activities
and spending time with friends!
My favorite part of our field trip was watching Ruby watch the short movie about monarch butterflies. She was totally into it, commenting on everything that happend; "that's a chrysalis" and "the butterfly's gonna come out".
Looking forward to more field trip fun with my girls this next year!
