Hair

Ada wants her hair in braids every day, and as I was braiding one morning I couldn't figure out why some of the hair wasn't staying back.  What. a. minute.  What did you do?!

Me: Ada did  you cut your hair?!
Ada:
Me: When did you do this?!
Ada:
Me: We don't cut hair.
Ada:
Me:  You need to tell Mommy what you did.
Ada:
Me:  Did you cut it during rest time?
Ada:
Me:  Did you cut it at school?
Ada:
Me: We don't cut hair.  That was a bad idea.

Hours later...
Me:  Did you cut your hair during rest time?
Ada:
Me:  What did you do with the hair?  Did you throw it away?
Ada: No, it's in my closet.
Me: Yep, it sure is.

So, yeah, it took me a day to even realize that my child cut her own hair.  Great mom.  Don't tell her, but she actually did a pretty good job.  Just looks like side-swept bangs.  It was hard not to laugh, especially when I found the pile of hair in her closet, but I'm sure I would have cried if she had chopped off a braid or something more drastic!

And, yes, Ruby got her hair cut just a few days prior so it all makes sense!
