Steve had a birthday a few weeks ago. He didn't get to open a single present though. I tried to explain to the girls that we just wrapped the presents so we should let Daddy open them, but they were too excited. "Daddy open the sandals next!"
Ada was excited about the balloons and wanted to try on the "boos" we got for him. For some reason that's how she says "shoes", I think maybe she's saying "boots". Ruby was excited about one other thing... "Dad I'm so excited it's your birthday because we get to eat your birthday cake!"
She could barely wait until he got home from work to celebrate. As everyone finished up dinner I went out to the kitchen to light the birthday candles and Ruby turned to Steve and squealed, "Do you hear what I hear?!" I think Ada enjoyed the ice cream dessert too. She picked up the whole piece in her hand and shoved it in!
What a hoot! I can just hear those little ones. They are so precious. We look forward to our get together soon. Can't believe how big those little girls are getting.
