Ruby had her first mini piano recital in December. She started piano January 2019 and we were at Disney for the end of the year recital so she (happily) missed that one. Her piano teacher has a small Christmas party (she splits her students into a couple groups) at her house and all of the kids play Christmas songs and then enjoy cookies and cocoa. She was nervous to play in front of people and seemed to be making more mistakes while practicing the closer to recital time. We realized, however, that she had been practicing without her music trying to play her songs by memory. I think we all got nervous when we arrived and saw all of the people, but several kids went before Ruby and, when it was her turn, she rocked it of course!

She picked Jingle Bells and Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. We were so proud of her!
