We have already been swimming a lot more this summer than the last two or three summers combined. What can I say? It's hot and we don't really have much else scheduled! We got a membership to the YMCA for the summer so we can go swimming whenever we want. The girls ask to go every day! I also signed the girls up for swimming lessons a few weeks ago.
We did private lessons with a friend and it was perfect. Ruby and Ada swam with one other girl and they loved their lessons and Ms Jenny. I knew Ruby was pretty close to being able to swim and really wanted to give her the best opportunity to "get it". The very first day both girls were diving their heads under water much more confidently than ever before. I was so proud of both girls for trying everything their teacher asked, always being excited to swim, and improving their confidence.
Ruby will tell you she can swim all by herself now, and she can for short distances. It's pretty great to see my perfectionist so enthusiastic about practicing and improving her swimming!
Ada is just as happy in the water as out of it. It's pretty hilarious to see her face with a gigantic smile as she pops up out of the water every time!
The first few clips are from the very first or second day of lessons and the last couple are from the Y. I haven't been able to get a good video of them swimming on their own yet of course!

That is awesome! Two cute little waterbugs. So nice to see them enjoying the water and gaining confidence. Love the happy faces!
