A Few Reasons Kids Are the Best

Ada's new favorite saying: "Woot! Woot!" She says this in regards to basically anything... "I got the Elmo plate- woot, woot!"

Ruby's new favorite saying: "Wait?! What?!" She says this in regards to basically anything... "Hot dogs for dinner?  Wait?! What?!"

Overheard tonight-
R: Ada, when is it my turn?
A: Um...in all the minutes.
Pretty sure that means never.  #littlesisforthewin

Playing House-
From Fall 2014
R: Ada we have to get all of our toys in our car.  Okay Mom, we are leaving now so you can go look at our house.
Me: Oh, I like it I think I'll buy it.  What do I have to do?
R: Uh, you can just live there now.

Playing House Another Day-
A: Where's your bed?
R: I'm the mom and mom's don't sleep.

This will probably be a good picture to save for their graduations, huh?
From Fall 2014
It was hilarious.  If you're 5.  Or 3.

We've also been into hide-and-seek lately-
A: I'll hide and Ruby hide and Mommy hide and Daddy hide!
Maybe we should rename the game hide-and-hide.

Ada knows her right and left.  Last weekend when my dad asked her where something was she told him it was in the closet on the right.  He was floored.  It boggles my mind too, since I still don't know left from right.  True story.

Ruby, Ada, Gaga, and Grandpa picked pecans from our backyard the other day and Ruby had a great time cracking them.
From Fall 2014
I made a chocolate pecan pie with homemade crust and homemade whipped cream (I'm becoming such a southerner y'all).
From Fall 2014
Ruby said she didn't like the "banana part" and Ada called it peacock pie.

Every night at dinner we talk about what we are grateful for that day.  This month we are writing them down on feathers to stick on our turkey.
From Fall 2014
Ruby writes her own (cranberry sauce).

Love it.  Invented spelling is pretty much my favorite thing ever.

Ada actually writes her own too, even asking which letters spell her word.
From Fall 2014
Pretty sure that says "Daddy".  Or else "candy".
