Both Ruby and Ada got to take swimming lessons at our community pool this summer.
We signed up for Saturday morning lessons so that I could go in the baby pool with Ada and Steve could watch/help/encourage Ruby in the big pool!
It's been the strangest summer here, so cool and just beautiful, but not typical STL summer. Which means the pool has been a bit chilly many weeks. The first two Saturdays in June were so cold we had purple lips by the time we got done! We have, however, taken advantage of a couple warm, sunny Saturdays and stayed after lessons for some family swim time. Both girls have gotten a lot more comfortable and capable in the water- so fun to watch.
Ruby's class had a chance to jump of the diving board. I think this series of pictures speaks for itself:
Hehe! She did contemplate jumping a couple more times and we are proud she was brave enough to try!
Bear Bear had a blast at lessons, she loves the water and is sometimes a little too brave!
