Just when I thought I was a blogging machine I got waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind so I have to play a little catch up...
For Father's Day (you know, about a month ago!) we got tickets to take Steve to a Cardinals game the following week. It was a hot day (it's summer in STL, so that's probably pretty obvious, right?!) but we were decked out in our Cardinals gear and excited for the game. We took the train to the stadium and Ada freaked out when we got on.
Not sure what happened exactly, but as you can imagine the metro is very busy (ie: packed sardines in a sea of red) on game days and as we smushed ourselves into the train she started screaming. I had to pick her up kicking and yelling so we wouldn't miss the train. Luckily she calmed down quickly but she had the same reaction on the way back too!
We got in the stadium and found our seats just as the game was about to begin and were so thankful to find that they were in a shadey section.
I'm positive we wouldn't have lasted more than a few innings had we been in the blazing sun. Honestly, the only way we did make it through 7 innings was the steady stream of snacks.
Ice cream, nachos, soda, cotton candy, and popcorn! The Cards didn't win, but they did score an early home run so we got to see the fireworks!
Cute as can be! Memories that last a life time!
