Ruby's first day of school was Wednesday. This year she gets to go Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. I was READY and she was too, but I wasn't sure how the transition to a new room and new teacher would go.
She picked out her outfit the day before and packed some chocolates for her teachers. We took LOTS of pics and Daddy stayed home with Ada while Ruby and I headed to the Red Room.
She was so excited to see stickers out (her favorite) that she barely gave me a hug.
"Bye Mom."
When I picked her up after school she told me all about her morning including, "I didn't make any bad decisions!" Later, at naptime, she said, "I can't go back there because they wear me out." Little does she know, that's EXACTLY why she's going back there!
Ms. Belle said she did great this week and is having fun playing with all of the kids. She actually has a few boys in her class this year too. Because the classes are so small (7 in each), they combine for circle time, snack, and recess. Which means Ruby gets to see Ms. Pam, one of her teachers from last year, in the Yellow Room everyday too. She's come home with artwork and sand in her shoes everyday so I think it's a success!
Ada also had a first on Wednesday. I signed her up for Storytime at the library.
We'll go every Wednesday while Ruby is at school. I've heard great things about it (Ruby never went) and we had lots of fun. Singing, dancing, stories and crafts- so fun to have something special for Ada Bear to do. Other than storytime, Ada pretty much spent Wednesday and Friday morning saying, "Wuby. Cool" (Translation for those that don't speak toddler: Ruby. School.) over and over. And over. She misses her sissy.
I can't believe how much Ruby has grown! So proud that she is making good decisions. That is a big deal! Way to go, Ruby. Love all the pics. Especially the shadow pic on the sidewalk of you and curly girl!
