Ruby's last day of preschool was this week. How did that go by so quickly?! She had such a great year with her wonderful teachers, Miss Pam and Miss Nancy, and lots of sweet friends. Ruby is still hesitant and shy (and probably always will be) but she did such a great job at school this year.
She came home from school a few weeks ago with this paper.
I was shocked and excited to see that she wrote her name on it. I had recently discovered that she knew how to write an "R" but could never convince her to try to write the other letters. Ru won't do anything unless she's sure she can do it perfectly. I have NO clue where she gets that. Bequietmom. I asked her teachers about it the next day and they were surprised she had never written it before. Miss Pam had just causally asked her if she could write her name on her paper and she did. As I was making such a big deal that she wrote her name, Ruby told me the first "b" was silly so she made another one. (She writes a lowercase "b" when she does her name now.)
We had a school picnic the last day. This is Ruby and her friend Kaitlyn.
Hoping we'll get to play with some of these girls this summer.
For an end-of-the-year gift, Ruby gave this picture and an ice cream gift card to her teachers.
Wishing you all a sweet summer and lots of ice cream too!
Ruby, congrats on your pre-school accomplishments. You learned lots of things and met some wonderful new people. I hope you have a sweet summer too! We look forward to seeing you all in June and and having a fun time!
