Our Crazies

After the girls are in bed Steve and I often find ourselves telling each other about the funny things the girls did that day.  Something Ruby said usually tops the list.  I have this cute, free app (all my apps are free!) on my phone that lets me quickly record the funny quotes so I won't forget them.  It's called Kid Quoter, if you have kids you should check it out.  It automatically records the child's age.  It even lets you email or share them instantly.  (Man, they should pay me for this recommendation!)

Another one of my favorites happened when Steve went into Ruby and Ada's bedroom the other day.  They were jumping on the crib mattress and Ruby said, "Dad are you not amused? I told Ada you were going to say 'I'm not amused'!"

Lately Ruby's been telling us all about what she's going to do "when she gets bigger".

I love her 3 year old vocabulary too, she's always trying new words.  Sometimes they make sense,

and other times not so much; "Mom can I pour the boil in the pan?" (boil=oil) or "The ducks are having a habitat to find out their name." (habitat=contest  There was a contest to name the baby elephant at the zoo.  Still impressed she new the word "habitat"!)

We think Ada's pretty darn cute and funny too.  
It's basically "monkey see, monkey do" around here.  Ada's learned all sorts of things at 1 1/2 that I'm pretty sure a first child doesn't know.  Case in point; she knows the words dessert and chocolate and uses "NO!" quite empathetically.  She's got a wild streak too!


The girls not only make us laugh daily, they're pretty good at eliciting giggles out of one another (often after we've put them to bed, long after bedtime).
