When I was little, I innocently asked my mom why she never made any of those cookies Grandma Jane always had in her cookie jar. After describing the cookies with the chocolate stripes and holes in the middle, mom exclaimed, "She buys those!" Even though Grandma didn't make the fudge striped cookies, to me and my cousins, they will always be Grandma's special cookies.

ReplyDeleteI miss her so much and think of her everyday. Sometimes forgetting that she's gone and thinking that I need to call her to tell her something - and then I remember... Thank you for the happy memory, Sher. Makes me smile.
