We had a small birthday celebration for Daddy last week. Keeping secrets and planning for a birthday party are not easy for a 2 1/2 year old!
We made some birthday cards the day before and hid them on top of the fridge. Ruby just couldn't wait until the big day though and spilled the beans as soon as Daddy got home! The morning of Steve's birthday we went to storytime at The Cup and Ruby picked out several cupcakes to take home for dessert. It was VERY difficult to wait all day before digging in! Ruby and Ada also helped me wrap up all of Daddy's presents. As soon as Steve walked in the door after work Ruby yelled, "Daddy can I open your presents?!" And the way she ripped the paper off, you'd never have guessed she had just wrapped them earlier that afternoon!
