Ruby had her first doctor's visit on Saturday (at 5 days old). Dr. Plax said she looks great and we were very proud that she had gained all her weight back and was back to her 6lbs 12oz birth weight!
On Sunday we sadly said goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa Licht as they headed back to Wisconsin. We were so lucky that they stayed with us for Ruby's first week. They did all of the cleaning, cooking, laundry, and errands (and lots of baby holding too, of course)- we wouldn't have survived without them. Thanks Mom and Dad! We're looking forward to some other visitors soon!!!
This is how we spend most of our day- eating, napping, and changing diapers. Ruby also went for a couple walks this week which she loved. She tried out her sling and her stroller.
Daddy went back to work this week. We were always excited to see him in the evening and tell him about our day. Ruby usually took a nap in Daddy's arms when he got home.
Monte is getting more comfortable with Ruby. Look- he's almost touching her...I think that's a sign he owns her!
FYI- I put up some more pictures in "First Days" and "Ruby's Onesies". We'll continue to put up new pictures each month.
I am dying to hold her!

Sheri you look beautiful - Motherhood agrees with you! Ruby looks longer (she must be growing again) laying on Daddy's stomach. Monte looks huge next to her in the other pic! I'm glad he is adjusting to her. Can't wait to hear the report from her 2 wk checkup!
