16th Anniversary

We celebrated a sweet anniversary this year even though things didn't work out as planned.  Last year was our 15th anniversary but we didn't plan anything because we thought we were buying a new house.  The house thing fell through and I think we ended up doing something small, probably dinner and a movie.

So, a year later and just as our anniversary is about to roll around we have a contract on our dream house! (More to come on that soon.)
Me: What are we doing for our anniversary?
Steve: Buying a house.
Me: You bought me a house last year for our anniversary.  And I had to give it back.
Steve: I'm buying you a better house!

Anyway, we found a babysitter so that we could go kayaking and go out to dinner on our actual anniversary.  Sadly, our sitter got sick and had to cancel that day.  Ruby and Ada made the day super sweet though.  They started the day by making us breakfast (there might have been a little crying and yelling, but they worked it out).

We ordered from the restaurant we had planned to go to and had one of these delivery services deliver it to our house (which costs a fortune!) so we got a yummy meal and then the girls made us dessert!

The after dinner entertainment included Ruby on the piano and Ada dancing!
