Ruby has rocked a few different pair of fake glasses over the last couple years, but these are the real deal!
Ruby complained of headaches a bit during the school year and she attributed it looking at the iPads too much at school. (That is a whole soapbox issue I could go off on, but I'll spare you.) When the headaches continued into the summer (we do very little screen time), I finally got around to scheduling an appointment at the eye doctor. And, now I feel guilty I didn't do it sooner.
nervous
It was pretty obvious as she was attempting to read the tiny letters on the screen that she was not seeing well. Interestingly she is far-sighted. Which actually makes perfect sense because she was probably straining terribly with all of the reading she does.
If you ask Ada, she will tell you it took 100 hours for Ruby to pick out frames, but I thought she was pretty decisive about what she liked (even when I tried to talk her into clear frames). We were able to get two pair pretty reasonably. For now she needs to wear them when reading and for screens. Hopefully this will help make 4th grade headache-free! And darn, she looks pretty cute in them if I do say so myself!
The second pair!
Little sis had to get in on the action too!
