Almost Famous

This August a paper Steve was an author on got published in Neuroscience, one of the top journals in the field.  It happened to get a lot of press because of their findings and the interesting story behind it. Back in STL, Steve and his friend Nico were wanting to scan a few people (including themselves) a number of times for their study, but buying scanner time is quite expensive at WashU.  They learned that the time slots after midnight were much cheaper, so they started the "Midnight Scan Club".  Over the course of several months they would go into work late and lay in the scanner gathering data.

When the paper came out, Steve got interviewed by the Waco Trib and two of the local news stations.  Nico was interviewed on Science Friday on NPR.  Pretty exciting stuff!
