Most people didn't realize it because she usually wore braids, but Bear's hair was down to her butt!
Except for a tiny trim, we'd never cut it and I vowed never to get rid of her curls for fear they'd be gone for good. Ada thought it was beautiful, and it really was, but it was a pain to wash or brush. Plus, she was such a diva she'd need me to pull it all back for her when she went to bed! I finally decided 4 1/2 years was long enough so we made an appointment for late March. I'll admit I was still having second thoughts as I drove her to the salon.
It turned out adorable, is much easier, and still pretty long considering we cut 12 inches off! I can't believe how thick it seems now and it still has some curl on the ends.
