As I
may have mentioned, our December was busy, busy (as is everyone's I'm sure). We spent the week before Christmas finishing up our shopping, wrapping presents, doing some holiday projects, singing lots of Christmas songs, scrambling to finish sewing projects, packing, and enjoying the fact that Daddy was home all week. We had a kid-free night out for Steve's lab Christmas party and Mom even snuck out one evening for a massage. It. was. amazing.
I had the girls make snowman pictures that we used to make personalized dish towels.
We also had a little Christmas celebration with the four of us and took down our tree before heading north. The girls got a bunch of goodies and activities to keep them busy in the car including car seat trays and book lights. Ruby was excited about her princess nail polish and dance outfits (she's been asking and asking to do ballet lessons). Ada was thrilled about her big girl pillow with Elmo on the pillowcase, a new Elmo snack cup, and a fun buckle toy that kept her hands busy on our trip.
Oh, and did I mentioned that I signed up to do Ruby's class party. Why would I sign up for a party the day we are leaving town you might ask. Good question. Next year I'm doing the Valentine's Day party. The party turned out to be super cute of course, even Ada got to partake. She had no reservations getting right in there with the big kids!
The kids dressed up as toilet paper snowmen and had snowmen cheese sticks for snack among other fun activities!
You packed a lot of fun into a few days!! Whew. Nice to relax and enjoy the pictures now. Take Care & Stay Warm!
