Little of This, Little of That

Everyone always says how quickly babies/kids grow, but it is hard to believe that our little pumpkin has been around for close to three weeks already! Ada is a wonderful baby and growing quickly. At 10 days old she weighed 8lbs12oz and, as of today, she's gained another 10oz. She usually sleeps 3 hour stretches and is starting to have more wakeful times taking in everything around her.

We (Daddy) carved our pumpkin this afternoon. Ruby's reaction was "Ewww! I not touch that!" but she did enjoy watching and giving Daddy instructions! I'm eager to see what her reaction to all of the costumes and trick-or-treaters will be! Every time someone asks her what she's going to be for Halloween she tells them "Bumblebee" which is Taylor's costume, not Ruby's! Tune in next week to see Ruby and Ada's real costumes!

It's nearly impossible to post today and not mention the STL Cardinals! This is one crazy sports town, especially about baseball. I'll have to admit it was pretty annoying to me when we first moved here, but after 8+ years in St. Louis it has been fun cheering on the Cards! Plus, Ada's awake time is usually about 9:30 to 11:00 pm so we've been up anyway! I'm sure when we think back to Ada's newborn days, we will remember the Cardinals World Series win!

    Little Ada sure is growing. Cute as a button. Just like her sister Roo. Is Ada saying "so big" or is she signaling the field goal is good? I noticed from other pics she is also a left-footed bare foot kicker. It will be wonderful to see you guys and spend some time getting to know Ada Lynn. I hope Ruby is ready to play and play! Sheri, glad to hear you joined the Redbird Nation. Go Cards!
