What a fun weekend we had celebrating our Ruby Roo! Here are some highlights:
Grandpa and Grandma Licht came for the weekend. Sam surprised us when she got out of the car too!
On Saturday we went to the Great Forest Park Balloon Race and stumbled upon the perfect spot for a great view.
Everyone got in on the cake decorating action Sunday morning while Ruby napped.
(Thanks Mom, Dad, and Sam for all of your help. They never would have turned out this cute if I had to do them by myself!)
After her nap, Ruby got into her birthday outfit and greeted her guests! Grandpa and Grandma Nelson, Auntie Jen, Jason, Kat, and Vera Froderman came over to celebrate with us!
It was a beautiful day to celebrate our baby and we were SO thankful that both sets of Grandparents and both Aunties made the long trip to be here with us!
She's ready to party!
Happy Birthday Dear Ruby!
Ruby tried a few bites of her teacup cupcake...
and decided it was TOO sweet!
On Monday, Ruby spent the day downtown with the Nelson family.
And then got some chic new layers from her personal stylist.
She woke up Tuesday (her real birthday) to balloons in her bedroom. (Steve and I woke up to an excited "Ahhhh!" when she spotted them!) Ruby opened a few more presents including a special tea set from Mommy and Daddy.
We spent the afternoon exploring at the Magic House (St. Louis' Children's Museum).
I'm pretty sure Ruby had a great first birthday and we did too! She is enjoying playing with all of her cool new toys and is looking forward to wearing all of her stylish new clothes(yes, she's going to have to clear out space in her closet and toybox after last weekend)!
What a wonderful time we had. Something that we will remember for a long time! Ruby you are such a sweetheart. I'm glad we could all get together on such a special day. Sheri and Steve thank you for sharing your time and talents and 'lil Ruby.
ReplyDeleteSteve and Sheri,
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting all the pictures and the "story" to go along with them all. What a treat to be able to see Ruby grow up!
