Big Day

Friday was a big day in the Nelson house. Ruby turned 8 months and Steve took part in the Washington University Hooding Ceremony! It was a very special ceremony where his PI officially "hooded" him as a PhD! I was able to catch most of it on video (with Ruby's help!) to share with you all. It really has been an eventful couple of weeks for Steve professionally. He has two papers that were accepted, one of which will be published in a high-profile journal soon! We're so proud!!!

We can't believe our little babe is 8 months! I keep telling her to slow down, but she's not listening. Ruby is crawling and moving all over the place now, she can give "high five", she's making tons of sounds, smacks her lips, and eats a bunch of different fruits and veggies.
Our friends, Kat and Jason, just had their baby last week. Ruby was so excited to meet her friend, Baby Vera. None of us could believe how tiny she was, or how huge Ruby looked next to her!!!
