7 Months

It's been awhile since we've posted, it's been a busy and fun-filled (as always!) couple weeks. Daddy's been busy in his new lab for the past month now. It's a much quieter lab and he's the only male, but he seems to be enjoying it and always comments on how much work he gets done in his own private office!
Ruby still loves going to the babysitter, but Mom is looking forward to summer- only 19 more days of school! I do love getting pictures like this at work during the day. Kerry says she has to turn some music on when Ruby is in there to get her to start jumping! (Mom and Dad are a little concerned however, as we've been told she enjoys "dancing" to Justin Beiber- ugh!)

Ruby's Great Grandpa Clete and Carole came to visit for a couple days last week on their way to Oklahoma (Somehow we forgot to take any pictures). They treated us to dinner and Ruby showed off her eating skills. She ate more applesauce the night we went out to Fitz's with them than I've ever seen her eat before! She also had a mishap with Monte earlier in the day that we'd rather not discuss. Let's just say Monte wants to make sure she knows who's boss!
We had another visitor one night for dinner this week too. Alison was back in St. Louis for work (she was able to keep her job and work remotely from Seattle, which we are very happy about because she'll have to be back here every couple months!). It sounds like they are enjoying their new home, having fun exploring Seattle, and settling in nicely! It was fun to hear about their adventures, and we hope next time she'll bring the boys with her!

Ruby is doing more and more everyday. She started saying "mamama" about a week ago and has been getting so close to crawling. She works and works at it. So far she pushes up on her hands and knees or her hands and toes, but she's only been successful at rocking back and forth or scooting backwards. She gets really frustrated, grunting and whining, when she can't figure it out...strange, I wonder where she gets that from?! Steve said he thinks Ruby's going to be like a little wind-up toy: once she figures it out she's going to be all over the place- yikes!
7 month stats: almost 16 lbs and 27-28 in

Beautiful! Thanks for the updates and good luck to Steve in his new lab and hold on Sheri summer is almost here. You deserve some time for yourself and Ruby don't let Monte push you around; that tail makes a mighty good handle!

We sure enjoyed our visit in St. Louis and we didn't forget to take pictures!! The "cat fight" was quick but that cat sure received some looks of scorn from Ruby!! What a joy she is!
