4 Month Jibber-Jabber
Ruby had her 4 month appointment with Dr. Plax today. She weighed in at 14lbs 8oz (75%) and grew to 25 1/2in long (90%)! I believe it because she always outgrows her clothes in length before they ever get too snug! One of Ruby's biggest developments in the last month is all of the "talking" she does now as evidenced by the new video. She talks to us, to herself in her crib when she wakes up, and giggles (when we take her clothes off!!!). Ruby also rolled over for the first time last week. I was quite surprised to see her roll from her tummy to her back, especially when she immediately did it two more times. Try as she might, she hasn't rolled the other way yet, but she wants to in the worst way! Another surprising milestone is that she typically puts herself to sleep when put down awake (although, she still loves her swaddle, and we do too!). In fact, Ruby no longer wants me to rock her! She also grabs anything she can get her hands on and either puts it directly into her mouth or bangs it on the ground. She loves books and her exersaucer and she always gives Daddy the biggest grins when he gets home at night!

Ruby has found her voice! I'm sure I heard "I love you", "Daddy" (sorry mommy), and "Monte, Monte, Monte".

Also, just wondering - why is there a video of Shawshank Redemption with Ruby's videos?? It's a great movie, but just curious!! hehe

ReplyDeleteGGMAGGPA-- Thanks alot for the Ruby Jibber Jabber. We enjoyed every bit of it. Sounds to us as though she will be talking very soon. She sure is trying to speak clearly. We love all three of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
