We drove up to Dallas with some Wellie Wisher crafts and pop rocks to keep us entertained. First stop was the AG store where we looked at EV.RY.THING and picked out Camille (for Ada) and Ashlyn (for Ruby). They also choose a few accessories to go with their dolls. I found a 20% off coupon in a catalogue I had brought along in the car- perfect timing! After shopping we had lunch in the cafe with the dolls. It was cute. Somewhere along the way Ruby commented, "I can't believe this is real!" Precisely what Mom and Dad like to hear when planning an excursion like this!
We're here!
First things first...
find our dolls!
Then check out everything else in the entire store!
Open those dolls up as soon as they're paid for.
Speaking of paid... $$$
Lunch at the AG bistro
with seats for the guests of honor
and sweet treats
for these goofballs!
Next we checked in to our hotel and went swimming for a bit before dinner. We surprised the girls with dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. Ada was a bit nervous with the hooting and roaring animals and thunderstorms at first, but she warmed up and enjoyed it. They got fun balloon animals and a chocolate volcano dessert to top off a pretty fun day. We came back to the room to find some cute pjs for the dolls!
fancy pool, fancy hotel
Them: Where are we going for dinner?
Us: It's a surprise.
Them: I hope it's McDonalds!
Us: We could have saved a lot of money.
It was better than the golden arches!
The next morning we went to ... park in downtown Dallas, took a trolley ride around town, and had some yummy food truck lunch, followed by a stop at Trader Joe's before heading home to Waco. It was a super fun birthday trip for everyone involved!

Took Jordan and Logan to Mall of America, did some rides and Rainforest Café. So fun to watch kids learn and enjoy new things - they had a blast. And our ride tickets were free. -Laura D
