Swim Lessons

First day, excited!

We took swim lessons this summer with the "Swim Nazi's"!  Seriously, that's how people refer to this family that has been teaching swim lessons for 30 some years.  They are tough, but Ruby and Ada were swimming and not at all fearful of the water, so I hoped they'd get the job done!  We took lessons the very first week of summer for us.  Parents are not allowed back to the pool area until the last day, but Ada told us they had to jump off the diving board and swim across the entire pool the first day!  Ruby said they were really "strict" after the first day and Ada did not want to go back day three or four, but they toughed it out and did amazing.

Ruby can swim confidently all around the pool now that she knows how to tread water so she will probably take their "strokes" class next summer.  Ada is a very capable swimmer (and fast- watch her back stroke below) but still gets nervous about swimming in deep water.  It's good to be cautious!
