The Day the Crayons Quit

The second graders put on The Day the Crayons Quit musical this winter.  If you haven't read the book, it's a sweet, sweet message about how all of the crayons are important no matter what the color.     Just days after the Parkland, Florida tragedy it was the perfect message and there were a few wet eyes in the audience.

Ruby even had a speaking part.  She wasn't sure if she wanted to do it or not, but decided to sign up. During rehearsals she told me her eyes kept watering, but the night of the performance she had no problems and did great!
