In case you didn't know; I have the best job ever! I had another great semester with so many fun girls who are going to be amazing teachers. I'll miss my seniors, but I'm looking forward to a new group in the fall. One of the many perks of my job is that my semester ends at the beginning of May which means I have time for all of the crazy/fun end of the school year activities (and a little breathing room before my girlies are done with school!).

Ada finished PDO a couple weeks after I was done and still doesn't quite understand the concept of summer vacation. It's hard when we are all "done" at different times. "Am I going to prek now?" "Not until the end of summer." "Is it summer?" "Well, kind of." "Are we going to the beach now?" "We're going to the beach during the summer, but not for awhile still." "Will I be a grown up when we go to the beach?" "Not that long!" Ada also asks me everyday where we are going. Umm...nowhere. She misses Miss Caroline and keeps saying she just wants to go to school and have fun! Now that Ruby is done she will have a playmate and hopefully will be more content!
No more after school carpools for awhile!
That girl looks ready for summer (#whenchildrendressthemselves)!
Ruby had several celebration days at school the last couple weeks and ended the year with a graduation program. (Sidetone: Yes, Ruby did have a preschool graduation last year. Not sure why we "graduate" from kindergarten...she's not going anywhere. Anyhoo, looks like we will have 4 years of graduations- ha! ) It was a pretty sweet program. They sang some fun songs and got to walk across the stage when their teacher called their name. Ruby had a wonderful year with her sweet teacher, Mrs. Johnston, and cried the last day. She wants her teacher to move up to first grade with her!
I went to one of the end of the year celebrations and was shocked to see Ruby do this:

I guess she learned to hula hoop this year. She is the queen of not showing or telling us she can do something until she has mastered it perfectly.
The school sent home professional graduation pictures, which I of course guilted myself into buying.
That's a lot of kindergarteners! Can you spot Ru?
There she is!
Walking across the stage when her teacher called her name and shaking the principal's hand.

Crazy-toothed grad!
Best family pic we could manage! We are proud of how well Ruby did this year!
I tried to keep this short and only include the best parts...turns out there were a lot of best parts. I'm her mom, give me a break!

Everyone always says it, but it's true how fast the time goes and how fast they grow! Ruby was invited to a sleep over at church on Friday after school was out. All of the kids moving up to the Roots (1st-4th grade) class at church got to have a super fun sleepover. Our children's pastor is amazing!
I was really not sure that Ruby was ready for such big kid stuff, but she had a blast of course! It was a bit strange dropping her off and only having one kiddo. Ada thought she deserved ice cream, game night, a movie and staying up late- ha!
Packed and ready to go!
This is how we left our sweet, big girl! When we picked her up the next morning that snaggletooth was gone! She might have also lost a little of that sweetness. Staying up until midnight will do that to ya!
How much fun is this?!
Ada did a nice job of taking full advantage of the situation; Ruby's at a sleepover so I want ice cream, movies, games, and staying up late!
Lots of sugar!
So nice to see all the happy faces in Texo!
