Ada's Recital

Ada has been doing ballet and tap all year and last week was finally recital time!  I always laugh and roll my eyes at the craziness of it all.  It is a bit over the top; they take their recitals very seriously in Texas!

Ada had one ballet dance and one tap dance and, luckily, only had to perform at one of the shows (there were 5 shows!).  She did awesome!  I was a little worried how she'd do once up on the big stage (do you remember the children's service at church last fall?!) but she was a pro!  She loved having her hair done up in a bun and her "make-up" on ;)  We had dress rehearsal on Friday and a performance on Saturday.  I recorded her dances during rehearsal since we were not allowed to record during the actual performance.  Steve and Ruby got front row seats for the big show (I was running back and forth helping Ada change costumes, etc).  Ada could definitely see us while she danced and was absolutely adorable!

There is a lot of waiting around at a recital but aren't they the cutest?!

Fair warning: this video contains both of Ada's dances in their entirety  Ada's Recital 2016 from Steven Nelson on Vimeo.

Both Ada and Ruby loved every second of the recital and even asked to go back the next day to watch more!  They've both been wearing leotards non-stop so maybe dance is going to be our thing!
