First Cut... or Trim

I'm in love with this picture- isn't getting your hair washed the best part of going to the salon?!

Ruby's hair might be a bit more dramatic, but Ada was pretty excited to get her very first haircut while we were up north.

I haven't clipped a single hair in Ada's 3.25 years and had no intentions of letting anyone (even Jen!) get their scissors on it because I'm so afraid once those curls are cut they'll never come back!

Ruby did a complete 180 a few weeks before Christmas and started saying she wanted Auntie Jen to cut her hair short instead of growing it out like Rapunzel.  I didn't think much of it because I didn't think we were going to be able to see Jen (or Drew, or Charley) but Ruby kept talking about a haircut.  Jen and Charley decided to make a trip to Winona for a couple days while we were there- which we were so excited about- so Ruby called and asked Auntie Jen to bring her scissors with.

Since it's monkey-see, monkey-do in this family, Ada wanted a haircut too.  I agreed to a (small) trim!  Ada did great and still tells everyone that she got a haircut!
