Ada is 10 Months

Eats: Ada is starting to take interest and eat a lot more table food this month.  I guess she's just one of those babies that skips purees and likes to feed herself!  I try to give her small pieces of whatever we're having, but it has to be soft because she only has those 2 teeth on bottom.  She loves her puffs and mum-mums- pretty sure there is 0 nutritional value in those things.  

Sleeps: About the same as last month.  I can't complain, especially since we were traveling for half of the month.  Down around 7:30, dream feed 11:00, wakes up around 7:00.  
Naps: 9:30-11:00ish and 2:00-4:00ish

Clothes: Mostly 12 month size
Diapers: Cloth (middle size) at home and disposable (size 3) at night.
Milestones: Waves, high-fives, dances, and "so big" on command.  Mimics us shaking head and scrunchy face.  Plays peek-a-boo.  Pulls up to stand and starting to cruise along furniture.  Ada even tries to stand up by herself in middle of room with nothing to hang on to- oh, my!  Time to get out the push toys!

Teeth: Ada got her second tooth this month, so she has 2 on bottom.  She even tried them out on Ruby's nose today... she was getting frustrated that Ruby kept pushing her away from the toy she wanted so she leaned in and shocked Ruby by chomping down on her nose.  

Words:  We think Ada's been saying "What's that?!" the past couple weeks.  Every time she sees something new she says something that sounds like "huh da".  I also think she's starting to connect her "mamama" and "dadada" babbles with Momma and Daddy.  Sometimes when she's jabbering she'll get really high pitched just like Ruby does whenever she's talking to Ada.  

Personality: Can't say it enough, Ada is a HAPPY and content bear!  She's also a Momma's Girl, but really likes everyone once she warms up.  She loves her silly sister, but is starting to exert her independence when Ruby takes a toy from her or knocks her over.  (Yes, that occasionally happens.  Shocking, I know.)  Ada LOVES her lovies.  She's a snuggler- so sweet!

I know this post is about Ada, but I also have to brag about Ruby for a sec.  She has turned into such a sweet big sis this month.  If Ada ever fusses or gets upset Ruby will immediately try to console her with an "It's okay Ada" or by singing her a song (usually ABC's or Twinkle, Twinkle).  And, now that Ada's mobile, Ruby likes to run around the house trying to get Ada to "chase" her.  It typically works.  Where Ruby goes, Ada will follow!
