Trying to Escape the Heat and Humidity

A couple weeks ago Steve flew off to Santa Barbara, CA to teach a workshop at a neuroscience conference. Yeah, he's pretty smart!

Ruby and I took advantage of this time by heading to Wisconsin for some cooler temps!

Ready to fly on an airplane to see Gaga and Grandpa. Ruby had fun watching the planes landing, taking off, and the luggage being loaded, as well as, running all over the airport!

Ruby got the coolest fishies from Aunt Laura!

We headed up to the lake for a couple days and Ruby took her first dip in the lake and went on her very first boat ride.

Grandpa even let her drive...she took it very seriously!

We took the peddle boat out for a spin too!

I'm pretty sure Ruby's favorite part of the lake was "fwinging" in the tree swing!

We were so lucky to have Gaga and Grandpa Nelson come up to RF to spend some time with us, too!

They even stayed for the RF Days parade!

Ruby loved waving at the princesses and dancing to the bands!

We had SO much fun spending time with lots of friends and family up north, so this little Viking will be heading back to Minnesota/Wisconsin soon for another visit!
