So, it's due time that we acknowledge our dear friends, the Fetsch's. Chris, Alison, and Ethan are our "family" here in Missouri and have been our life-savors too many times to count! From bringing Steve dinner when I was dealing with morning sickness, to throwing us a fun shower, to giving us multiple swaddle blankets to try to get Ruby to sleep! Mostly, though, we are just so grateful for all of their love and support. (We are NOT going to talk about the fact that they are moving to Seattle in a few short months.)
Once again they brought dinner over on Friday night, and convinced us to meet them the next morning at the zoo! We haven't been super brave about taking Ruby out and about, but Chris and Alison assured us it would be fun- they were right. Ruby slept great Friday night and it was a beautiful morning, so we got up Saturday, got her ready (it only took us 45 minutes longer than planned!), and headed out to the zoo.
She slept most of the time in the stroller or her sling, but I'm pretty sure she enjoyed the animals too!
We even saw a baby chimp named Rubih.
Ruby and Ethan both conked out on the train ride!
Friends like Chris & Alison are priceless! I'm so glad that you've been able to be 'family' for each other there in St Louis. When they move you will just have to fly out to visit them! It sure looks like Ruby (not Rubih) is smiling in the stroller. I'm glad you had a fun day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful day at the zoo. Good friends like Alison and Chris are to be cherished. Ruby sure looked like she was happy with the big adventure.
