In January, a good friend from our small group and I took our kids to drop off yellow flowers and friendship pictures at the local Muslim center. I LOVE the picture Ruby made!
It's 1st grade tradition to decorate a shirt to wear on the 100th day of school. Ruby went with 100 feathers-ha!
Somewhere along the way, I got to go on a field trip to the zoo with Ada's preK class.
The girls picked pens and pencils for their Valentine cards this year. We printed some cute cards and found some fun washi tape to attach the pens. Easy-peasy.
Both girls got much-needed haircuts in February. Ruby wanted hers left as long as possible while appeasing mom to get it evened out (she hadn't had a cut since that horrible one almost 2 years ago!). Ada wanted hers "up to her ears" but we compromised with shoulder length and they both look beautiful!
This is the "before" pic!
We found a few hearty vegetables (below) in the garden when we got back from Christmas and started planting for spring in late February. We've harvested kale, carrots, and a pepper so far with lots of beans almost ready to be picked.
We continue to take advantage of our Baylor staff perks to enjoy a variety of athletic events; men's and women's basketball, volleyball, equestrian, acrobatics, soccer, and track this winter/spring.
Ada still enjoys accessorizing. Especially when we go to pick Ruby up from school!
One day we were driving to get Ruby and Ada kept asking me if lipstick could come off in the wind. I had no idea what she was talking about until we got out of the car! Oh, those beautiful lips will definitely stay pink in the wind- hahahaha! Speaking of wind, it is always SO windy here!
I love getting sweet notes left by my bed!

Those 2 little darlin's are as cute as can be! So talented too!
