I signed Ruby up for soccer camp with one of her friends the first full week of summer. Camp was 9-11 for a week and I had to wake Ruby up every morning to get there on time! Her internal clock would prefer to sleep from about 9:30pm to 8:30am. Once we got her there though she had lots of fun. I was so proud of her for being willing and excited about trying something totally new. Ruby's only experience with soccer prior was kicking the ball around the back yard and maybe some in PE at school. She told me she felt tough in her shin guards, hehehe, although she wanted them off when it got too hot. Even that early in the day the first week of June was HOT! She's certainly not the most aggressive kiddo, but she always said she had fun and I'm hoping to sign both girls up for soccer this fall.
A
little nervous on the first morning.
When they blew the whistle Ruby and her friend ran out on the field holding hands. So sweet!

With Ruby at camp, that left Ada and I to find some fun of our own. After all, when your sister gets to go to camp, you expect to be able to do something fun too! This was also the week of Ada's dance recital so she did have practice a couple of those mornings. We invited one of her friends from school over for a playdate one morning
and hung out at the Arboretum another morning.

Ruby, you sure look tough in your soccer gear! Glad to see you having fun playing soccer and learning new things. Very proud of you!
