A Day

I wrote this back before our holiday breaks, but now that we're all back to work and school it seems appropriate!

6:45 Everyone up.  Drag RJ out of bed. Get dressed and eat breakfast.
7:45 Out the door to drop Ru off.
7:55 Ada and I run into HEB to get packing tape.
8:10 Back home to package up a few Christmas presents, then off to the post office.
8:45 Swing by a Mission Waco center serving women to drop off a bunch of things filling up my trunk that our women's groups from church gathered a few days ago.
9:00 Drop Ada off at school and run to a couple stores for last minute Christmas shopping.
9:45 Home to wrap some presents while both girls are in school.
10:45 Pick up Ruby from school to go to Ada's Christmas program.
11:30 Meet Steve and enjoy Ada's program.
12:15 Grab lunch at Chik-fil-a since Ruby missed her lunch time.
1:00 Drop off Ruby back at school.
1:15 Take Ada to friend's house to play.
1:30-2:30 Back to school to help at Ruby's class Christmas party.
2:45 Back home, thank Emily for bringing Ada home to save me a trip.
3:15 Off to an OT appointment.
3:30 Drop off Ruby, run to Aldi with Ada.
4:00 Pick up Ruby and head home.
4:30 Time to figure out dinner, empty backpacks, and celebrate Advent.

That was a particularly busy day, but pretty accurate example of what our life has felt like this fall.  I kept thinking it would slow down "next week" but it really didn't until Christmas break.  I can't complain, I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to work a job that I'm loving while still being "mom", dropping off, picking up, and going to school events!  Here's to another busy, but fun semester!
