Thankful for the Miserable

I recently discovered that having the stomach virus when you have a two-year old and you're nursing a four week old is miserable. And, watching your two year old with that stomach virus is mis.er.a.ble! I also realized...

I'm very thankful Ruby is rarely sick.

I'm very thankful that the virus was short lived.

I'm very thankful that Ada stayed healthy.

I'm very thankful my girls have such a great Daddy to help take care of them.

I'm very thankful for a good washer and dryer (and that we stocked up on laundry detergent before Ada arrived).

I'm very thankful I am able to be home now on maternity leave taking care of my girls.

I'm very thankful for an amazing church family that has once again organized and prepared meals for us.

I'm very thankful Steve has a flexible job and can be home to help when needed.

I'm very thankful Ruby is such a tough cookie and will share her adorable smile with us even when she's sick.

I'm very thankful Ada has been a fairly easy baby and sleeps often.

I'm very thankful for prayers from friends and family.

I guess sometimes you need the miserable to realize all that you are thankful for!
