Spring Break

What a fun and exciting spring break! Ruby and Mommy flew to Minneapolis last Friday to spend some time with family. (Don't tell Ruby that you're supposed to go south for spring break!)

Ruby has become a pro traveler. She did great on the plane rides again this time (except for the fact that she kicks her socks off and feels the need to poop everytime she's on a plane/in an airport!!!). We had beautiful weather and lots of fun family time in Wisconsin. The Nelson family even came up for a day to get in some Ruby time. She got lots of loves...and an adorable new summer wardrobe thanks to her Grandmas!
We flew back home on Tuesday to a Daddy eager to squeeze his Ruby! He said she's growing before his eyes and was impressed with how well she is sitting up now and all of the new sounds she's making. Even though I'd been practicing "ma ma ma" with her everyday, I'm pretty sure we've heard some "da da da's" instead!
We enjoyed a few more days of sun, going for walks, visiting Daddy at work, and even visiting the zoo back in St. Louis. I'm not sure Ruby "saw" any of the animals, but she loves riding in her Baby Bjorn.


We also started "solid" foods this week. Ruby seemed to love the (nearly liquid) rice cereal we gave her.
I'm ready!
